Taking it to a new level @ Lowe's Speedway -29.7mph-
Calhoun Falls resident and SVR regular Bob Chambers is on a roll. Starting this year intent on pursuing the art and science of time trialing, Bob has consistently improved his times and, in the process, mowed over the competition. Encouraged by a second place in the 50-54 age group for the 7 laps of Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC (10 miles), Bob soon achieved the age group win and has held on to it ever since. On Wednesday, Bob put forth his greatest effort yet. Facing cooler conditions and a mild, favorable wind, Bob came up with a world class age group performance and shattered his own course record by more than a minute. 20 minutes 12 seconds is the new time to beat (29.7 mph). Even Bob himself was taken by surprise by the momentous result, double checking his bike computer in amazement.Bob is hard at work on breaking the 30 mph barrier (sub 20 minutes) and challenging some of the best time trialists around, including Tennessee's Kent Bostick, 1996 Olympian and multiple National Champion.Congratulations to Bob on seeing the results of dedication. Way to go!

Fantastic!! Would be interested in knowing the hardware you're riding. Some "FYI" for the "techno-geeks".
Thanks,

Thanks for the kind comments. Here are some technical details:
I have a "new" P3sl (aluminum) I've ridden the last three races, though my old record was established in June on a P2k. DA 9 group. Switched from a HED3 front to a Zipp 404 for the last 2 races which were among my best. Renn 575 disk on the back. Vittoria Open Corsa EVO CX 650x20 tires. Visiontech integrated bars on the front. VT brakes (I love them ... like little cat claws). Front derailler and small chainring removed for the effort this last Wednesday. Also, had cellophane tape over the holes in the chainring. Nike Swift Spin skinsuit, LG Rocket helmet, Pearl Izumi aero shoe covers.
That about covers it.
