Cancer Society Ride

Riders,

It’s finally here… another Saturday so we can ride… please note the SVR officially yielded to the Tour De La France Anderson Cancer Society Ride… so, I hope you’re planning on supporting this ride!! From what I understand, many riders will gather at the La France Elementary School for a start time of 0800. From what I understand, the route will be monitored by local law enforcement. The destination is downtown Anderson at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion. Please see the link of further details. A few SVR regulars will start at 0700 from New Spring and ride to La France... to get a few extra miles...

Last Saturday was a great day for riding… and we had some 40+ riders attend the SVR… For a few of us, Divebomb Dillard, RocketMan Russ and I didn’t quite make it back to the start, so we waited at the S’burg and Scotts Bridge Rd intersection… and the site of some 40+ riders riding towards us was truly impressive…. The question for the group, can we keep this number of riders for the SVR (Saturday Velo Ride)???

Come ready to ride... and to support our local Cancer Society!!!

Here's a shout out to Scott Shuey who's in his first week of his Stem Cell Transplant at MD Anderson... you can check his blog at
