Saturday Ride 8-18-07
Riders, this is your ride… due to several special events this weekend, several SVR regulars will be absent. We have many folks "competing" in the Greenville Tri and at least one "trying" the Greenville Tri. This includes our locals and those all way from Calhoun Falls to Moore, SC. So, many of the real tri guys & gals will be sleeping in on Saturday.... or doing whatever racers do before races?? Others of us will do some riding.
So, join the fun. Whoever is available should meet us at New Springs for a rollout time of 0800 sharp. As you will recall, I have declared my weekend obligations that will allow me to ride ONLY 20 miles…. at a snails pace…. small chain ring, easy spinning, no out-of-the-saddle efforts and will definitely keep my heart low.
Other riders will continue the tried and true SVR route of about 42 miles.
Here’s a SHOUT OUT to Jeff who will be competing in a 100 mile MT bike race in Ga… and to 2 “junior Grizz’s” doing the kids tri on Saturday!!!
As the true roadie that I am, I’ll be looking for a wheel to follow… won’t it be yours?
Best of luck to everyone for whatever you're doing: riding, racing, volunteering, or taking care of that "honey-do" list.
See ya Saturday.
Mike
PS… thanks to Jeff for providing some digital pics for the blog.
