Saturday's Magical Ride
Riders,
Saddle up, it’s time to ride… last Saturday was Mike’s Pokey Ride, but this Saturday, we’ll get back to business. Some of the tri guys & gals will take the day OFF as they support the Tri America Race right here in Anderson. GOOD LUCK!!!! NOTE: There's a significant change to the Tri America Anderson Triathlon bike route and it makes the event very appealing... if you thought about signing up, DO SO NOW!!!! The details were posted on the blog a few weeks ago.
The rest of us should come out to ride in their absence. We need a good showing of “roadies” to let the tri guys know it isn’t all about them!!! (just joking….) Actually, the tri events are pretty cool and you should put one on your list to do before retiring from physical activity and moving on to other things. In fact, statistics show that if you do a tri, you’re more than likely to “tri” another one. I think “they” are on to something, for sure, eh!
For this SVR, there will be at least one rider who did his first tri last weekend in Greenville. I’m sure he’d be more than happy to tell you of the adrenaline rush he felt the whole day long… just ask (be ye warned, I’ve heard if you get him started, he’ll never stop talking).
The ride begins at 0800 sharp. We'll ride the same route of about 41 miles... we're such creatures of habit!!!
Come hydrated and prepared to take a pull at the front. Do you like the paceline pic? Pacelining... there's nothing like it!!!! like flying in formation!!! just like the Blue Angels!!! (I guess?)
See ya Saturday,
Mike "526"
PS.. There's a 13% chance I might be tired up with work... but, an 87% chance I'll be there!!!! and I make every effort to R-I-D-E
