SVR for 3-22-08
Riders,
Mother Nature is really going to be good to us on Saturday, it’s going to be a memory maker day… so, why not start it on the bike? According to a few local cycling legends, some riders actually rode last Saturday BETWEEN rain storms… yours truly was NOT one of them.. all I did was pour another cup of joe and relax in the easy chair.. So, for this SVR, our local group of riders will gather at New Spring parking lot to rollout at 8:59AM sharp. The route remains the usual tried and true loop of 42 miles, give or take. Some folks may opt for a few short cuts, but we’ll figure that out before we hit the road.
Here’s a call for volunteers!!!! If you’re not participating in the Anderson Tri, why not volunteer to help with the bike course. You ARE the cycling experts and we need about 20 folks to sign up to assist the two-wheeled riders along the course… making sure the oxygen deprived riders stay on course and traffic is alerted to riders on the road. The ride route is “out & back” from the Anderson YMCA, down hwy 81 to the turn-around at Scotts Bridge Rd. Email Land Heintzberger at landh@andersonareaymca.org
Don’t forget the TNR (Tuesday Night Ride) has started from Pendleton at 6PM. This past Tuesday, the A-Train soft-pedaled until WaterTower Hill… after that, the A-Train turned into a Bullet Train…
Don’t forget to check out the new TRI club website.. and if you EVER had a thought of doing a tri.. sign up NOW for the Anderson Event (note: I call them events and not races because it’s easier mentally for me…)

see ya on the road.
