9-1-07 Ride Choices

Riders,
Choices abound for riding this Saturday.... listen up, here are the details...
Sir Vance-Rides-Alot will lead the tried and true SVR... wheels rollout at 0800 for a jaunt around the county for about 41 miles... give or take... starts at New Springs Parking lot

CR1 Shuey (skshuey@bellsouth.net) and others will meet at New Springs Parking lot at 6:50AM and will depart (via vehicle) at 0700 SHARP to drive to Furman... once there, they will ride to Ceasar's Head and perhaps Paris Mountain... the total ride is in the range of 60 to 70 miles... and some of that goes UPHILL!!!! bring some dollars for fluids and snacks along the way... there are ~ 5 confirmed riders... perhaps Florida Bill and Shutterbug Jeff and others.. Wheel-less Whaley will recon the 1/2 SC Ironman course in Greenwood.... He's going to meet Bob since Bob is doing his relay thing... Whaley welcomes you to join... even if you're not planning on partaking of the 1/2 SC IM pain... whaley1986@bellsouth.net if you need more details...

Here are a few facts about the Tri-America Triathlon that took place in Anderson last Saturday and Sunday

Phillip & Matthew Storie had a great showing... they're 7 & 9 or 8 & 10 yrs old.... champions in the making for sure, eh?
The Tolly family all finish the weekend as triathletes.... more future long course champions!!!Andre Ivankovich wins the senior division - 11-15 year olds at age 11Vance wins first place overall!
Andrea Storie takes second female overall.
Jonathan Storie takes second in his age group Richard Webster take first in his age group (he actually would have wonany age group over 50 but who is counting?)The Relay Team of Dave, Bob and Mike takes first place.Fred takes third overall in the long course Enjoy the weekend.... I'll be absent for this ride...
